Blessed

I have been making a scrapbook for my family. As I look back at these pictures it makes me think of the blessings that we have. We are truly blessed to have eachother. Our anniversary is coming soon. I am excited about that. I think about the years that have gone by, and all that we have been through. What a blessing to have this family.

Summer came and was gone in the same day

So yesterday was so beautiful and fun. Bright and sunny. Almost 80 degrees. I spoke to soon. Summer came and left in one day. It is now snowing and below freezing. The California girl in me got so excited I turned off the furnace. Now it is back to the thermals and boots. Dottie and her family are enjoying Southern California. Let's hope the weather can make up it's mind soon. It is getting a little confusing.

Spring is Here ( hopefully to stay)

The first day of spring break for the kids started today. ( I think the school system is just trying to get the moms ready for the out of control schedule of summer LOL!!!) It was a beautiful day! There wasn't a cloud in the sky. We went for a walk, and played outside for hours.

Grant got his mission call

Hi Everyone,

Many of you may already know but here's the details. Grant received his mission call today (delivered to the door by our mailman--they do that here) with only $1.48 in postage and he's been called to serve in the Ukraine Donetsk Mission. He will report to the Provo MTC on August 13th.

He figured with less than $2 postage he would be serving somewhere stateside. (Robbie's call came with $2.79 on it.) It's probably all a big wives' tale but some seem to think they have it figured out where someone will go by the amount of postage on the large white envelope. I told him before everyone got here that he would be surprised where ever he is sent. And boy were we all surprised! He never thought he would be speaking Russian. He is pretty stoked about it and it's nice to know what he can plan on doing for most of the summer now.

We had quite a house full as he cautiously opened and read his call to us all. He was so nervous that he didn't even play it up at all by saying he was called to St. George (Utah) or some other place close. It hit him like a brick!
