Good Sports


Jocie and Mason are good sports. We were invited to go play some games, see friends and sit on Santa's lap. As a mom you want your kids to believe in Santa for as long as possible. We do everything we can to keep the secret and the story of Santa alive. Sterling and I still will not say a word. Well Jocie, the old soul she is, was a good sport. She told Mason, " come on buddy let's just do this so mom can get her picture", as she is smiling and gritting her teeth. On the other hand I think this is officially our last Santa year for Mason. He told me this... " Seriously mom, this is not the real Santa, you know they rent these guys off the web".

Just a little sad

So I have been so busy and so overwhelmed these past few weeks. I could really use a 40 hour day. The holidays, work, family, house, cars, and just life in general really sneak up on you sometimes. Our kids left for Arizona to go to the baptism for their cousin. I am glad that they went but I miss them the second that they are gone. I for one love routine. I like waking up at 4am, going to the gym, home by 7am, get kids up. They are cute and friendly. I love our little talks over breakfast. 8:15 kids off to school and I get to work. The day is filled with gymnastics, dance, scouts, achievement days, homework and many other things. Even though it is hectic, I love it! I have a very busy schedule this weekend. One day at a time. That is the best I can do.

Daddy will you hold me...




I know that I am a cheesy mom and I record about every second of my kids lives, but that is what I love. This morning Jocie had a sick tummy. She crawled into Sterling's arms. "Daddy will you hold me?" I have to tell you even as an adult I still love to randomly show up at my parents house and give my dad a big hug. I know I go on and on sometimes about Sterling, but he really is a great dad. Jocie and Mason are such wonderful children. I just love when I get to sneak and capture moments that touch me and bring back tender moments I had with my own dad and see Jocie having with hers.
