Your Own Inner Light to Guide You
There comes a time when you must stand alone. You must feel confident enough within yourself to follow your own drAllow eams. You must be willing to make sacrifices. You must be capable of changing and rearranging your priorities so that your final goal can be achieved.Sometimes, familiarity and comfort need to be challenged. There are times when you must take a few extra chances and create your own realities.Be strong enough to at least try to make your life better.Be confident enough that you won't settle for a compromise just to get by.Appreciate yourself by allowing yourself the opportunities to grow, develop, and find your true sense of purpose in this life.Don't stand in someone else's shadow when it's your sunlight that should lead the way.

Romeo Romeo, wherefore art thou Romeo
The first few weeks takes some adjusting for us moms. All the kids, swimming, and water ballon fights. This morning was such a beautiful day. Waking up to the birds and the sun was so nice. What wasn't nice was the suprise in our shed!!! For the past week, our dog Zoie has been trying to escape our yard. Any chance she gets she takes off. So we caught her and locked her up in the yard. She would get on the upper level of the play house and cry. We thought it was so funny. It sounded like Juliet calling for her Romeo. Sterling told me he had a suprise for me in the shed this morning. So I looked and saw nothing. I was wrong. Romeo ( actually 2 Romeo's ) were hiding in the back corner of our shed. Zoie was in trouble for being on a date with a Boxer dog a day before. Now she is stock piling dogs in the shed. I only could get a picture of one of the dogs. This could be a very eventfull summer around our house. Remember the last time Zoie had puppies... 10 of them. Let's all pray for NO puppies this time. PLEASE!

"It's a major award"
Jocie and Mason have had a fun year at school. It is almost over and summer is just around the corner. This week we had a lot of fun events. Mason has moved up in gymnastics and was invited to be on the boys pre-team. Jocie is preparing for a dance recital. They both had there end of the year programs. Jocie had to square dance with a boy. YUCK!!! She said it was ok because she didn't have to dance with the kid who picks his nose. They sang a really funny song with all of the strange towns in Utah. Mason prepared for his program by singing in the bath tub. Mason will fill the bath tub with about 2 inches of water. Just enough to cover his ears. Then sing all of his songs for hours at the top of his lungs. We heard " Family, Foundation of our NATION", about 100 times. After the programs we went to Cold Stone and had a rediculously expensive ice cream. It was a fun day. Let's hope the weather changes and the kids can actually experiance summer. It is almost June and people are still skiing. I look out our front door and feel like we live in Scottland. Even Sterling says he might not be able to take another winter here! It is to cold and unpredictable.

I don't want to clean my room
I think kids are so funny. So Jocie and Mason hate us for making them share a room right now. Jocie thinks it is so sick and Mason really doesn't care. The basement is all framed and ready to go, it is just a matter of doing the huge project. All of the energy they put into fighting with me could be much better spent CLEANING THE ROOM!!! I guess that is kids for you. Never a dull moment around the Sipe house.

Mother's Day
I had the greatest Mother's Day! Sterling and the kids woke up early to make me french toast (which is Sterling's specialty), and a dozen of the most beautiful roses I have ever seen. The kids had been working on projects all week and were so excited to give them to me. Jocie made me a heating pad. She made a fabric bag full of beans to heat up in the microwave. She is so cute. Mason made me hershey kiss roses. So cute. He hid them in the fridge for a few days. He told me I was not aloud to peek in the bag in the fridge. I didn't. Later that afternoon we went up to Rock Canyon. It has become our new favorite place. We took both dogs and went hiking for the afternoon. Sterling took us to a cave. The spring run off was starting to come down, so the dogs and kids loved to play in it. It was so peacefull there. great time to spend together as a family. It was such a relaxing day. There gifts to me were so special and heartfelt. It was my best mother's day yet!

Big Day for Mason
May 3,2008 Mason was batized by his dad. It was a really special day. It was so nice all of the wonderful support from family and friends. The day before Mason was so excited!!! He couldn't wait. Finally the morning came to put him in his best clothes and have his big day. The next thing we know... Mason is laying on the bathroom floor sick as a dog. He threw up for a few hours. We were really concerned we were going to have to reschedule it. Fortuantly Grandma Boone showed up in the nick of time to help get him dressed while we all scrambled to clean up. As we got to the car we put Mason in and explained that we could not reschedule. He knew and told us he would be fine. Just then he opened the car door and threw up all over his sunday shoes. " I'll be ok, now we can go, can we do this really fast dad." It was sad but so funny at the same time. We had a really nice lunch at our home and visited for the afternoon. As soon as we got home Mason went to sleep missing his own party. He slept all day and woke up a new boy! He was so handsome and we are all very proud of him.
